Factory Polished Smooth wear plate is ideal for medium abrasion and high impact applications for hang up or carry back in the fixed or mobile plant applications. Ideal for truck bed liners, dozer blades and bucket liners for moisture that causes stickiness to the liners.
K-TECK NIOBIUM wear plate is a specific purpose of wear plate to increase life cycle over traditional chrome carbide wear plate. More suited to fixed plant applications with -150 ore size that is typically seen for MEDIUM WEAR ABRASION with MEDIUM IMPACT  application’s. The matrix structure is a Austenitic high chrome carbide saturation of more than 35% of chrome, meets the ASTM G65-04 dry sand rubber wheel test of less than 0.26 grams loss.

K-TECK wear resistant steel (WRS) is a Bi metallic hard facing surface of up to 700 HV of hardness of a HYPER EUTECTIC chemistry bonded to Mild steel A36 backing plate for easy methods of installation. K-TECK Superglide

Overlay Material Type

The K-TECK OEM series is a high saturation of M7C3 carbides of a austenite matrix and complies the AS2576-2355 STD.

The standard A36 steel backing plate is ideal for multiple installations methods. The backing plate in a variety of thickness to suite all applications.

Thermal expansion Relief Cracks

The K-TECK series of wear resistance steel has inherent cracks due the metallurgical structure of the high chrome, these crack are not structural cracks that will cause the plate to break. These cracks are Thermal expansion relief cracks and enhances bending and rolling under compression. These thermal expansion Relief joints are common in most ALL CCO wear plates and is commonly visible.
