K-TECK MILLSPEC TUNGSTEN
A smooth wear plate is ideal for high abrasion applications of fine particle dust that does not discharge causing hang up or carry back in the fixed plant applications. Ideal for Impact plates, classifier cones, chutes, bin liners, cyclones fan blades.
K-TECK Tungsten wears plate is a specific purpose of wear plate to increase life cycle over traditional chrome carbide wear plate. More suited to fixed plant for HIGH WEAR ABRASION with MEDIUM to LOW IMPACT applications. The matrix structure is an Austenitic high chrome carbide saturation of more than 35% of chrome, which meets the ASTM G65-04 dry sand rubber wheel test of fewer than 0.15 grams loss.
Wear Plate Specifications
K-TECK wear-resistant steel (WRS) is a Bi-metallic hard-facing surface of up to 700 HV of the hardness of HYPER EUTECTIC chemistry bonded to Mild steel A36 backing plate for easy methods of installation. K-TECK Millspec series sheet size 9.00’ x 6.5’.
A36 Backing Plate Material
The standard A36 steel backing plate is ideal for multiple installations methods. The backing plate in a variety of thicknesses to suit all applications.
Thermal expansion Relief Cracks
The K-TECK series of wear resistance steel has inherent cracks due to the metallurgical structure of the high chrome, these cracks are not structural cracks that will cause the plate to break. These cracks are Thermal expansion relief cracks and enhance bending and rolling under compression. These thermal expansion Relief joints are common in most ALL CCO to wear plates and is commonly visible.
Overlay Material Type
The K-TECK OEM series is a high saturation of M7C3 carbides of an austenite matrix and complies with the AS2576-2355 STD.
Metallurgical Testing Type
The K-TECK series of wear-resistant steel complies with the ASTM G65 sand wheel test procedure with a chromium carbide of M7C3 saturation.
K-TECK Millspec Tungsten can be used in a variety of mobile and fixed plant applications when moisture and carry back are an issue with high abrasion.
