MILLSPEC 100.png

A smooth wear plate is ideal for Cement and concrete application where fine particle dust builds up and does not discharge causing hang-up issues in fixed plant applications. Ideal for Impact plates, classifier cones, clinker chutes, bin liners, cyclones fan blades.
K-TECK OEM 100 wear plate is the general purpose of wear plate to increase life cycle over the STD QT or AR plate. More suited to the Mobile earth moving equipment of medium wear abrasion to low impact applications. The matrix structure is an Austenitic high chrome carbide saturation of more than 35% of chrome meets the ASTM G65-04 dry sand rubber wheel test of fewer than 0.3 grams loss.

Wear Plate Specifications

K-TECK wear-resistant steel (WRS) is a Bi-metallic hard-facing surface of up to 700 HV of the hardness of HYPER EUTECTIC chemistry bonded to Mild steel A36 backing plate for easy methods of installation. K-TECK Millspec series sheet size 9.00’ x 6.5’.

Overlay Material Type

The K-TECK OEM series is a high saturation of M7C3 carbides of an austenite matrix and complies with the AS2576-2355 STD.

A36 Backing Plate Material

The standard A36 steel backing plate is ideal for multiple installations methods. The backing plate is in a variety of thicknesses to suit all applications.

Metallurgical Testing Type

The K-TECK series of wear-resistant steel complies with the ASTM G65 sand wheel test procedure with a chromium carbide of M7C3 saturation.

Thermal Expansion Relief Cracks

The K-TECK series of wear resistance steel has inherent cracks due to the metallurgical structure of the high chrome, these cracks are not structural cracks that will cause the plate to break. These cracks are Thermal expansion relief cracks and enhance bending and rolling under compression. These thermal expansion Relief joints are common in most ALL CCO wear plates and are commonly visible.

K-TECK Millspec 100 can be used in a verity of mobile and fixed plant applications when moisture and carry back are an issue.
